Reservations: Reservations can be made online, by phone, or in person. The hotel may require a valid credit card to hold the reservation and may charge a deposit or full payment in advance.
Check-in and Check-out: Check-in time is anytime after 2:00 PM, and check-out time is before 12:00 PM (noon). Late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability and additional charges.
Payment: The hotel accepts major credit cards and cash as forms of payment. Any extra charges, such as room service, phone calls, or damage to hotel property, will be charged to the guest's credit card or settled in cash at check-out.
Cancellations and no-shows: The hotel's cancellation policy may vary depending on the rate or package booked, but generally requires cancellation at least 24 to 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid penalties. In case of a no-show, the total amount of the reservation may be charged to the guest's credit card.
Room occupancy: The maximum number of guests per room is usually limited to two adults and one child under 12 years of age. Additional charges may apply for extra guests or rollaway beds. Pets are allowed in the hotel but are the responsibility of the owner and must be kept on a leash in common areas. Additional fees may apply for pet accommodation and cleaning.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in public areas or hotel rooms. Violation of this policy may result in fines or additional cleaning fees.
Liability:
The hotel is not responsible for loss or damage to guests' personal property, and guests are advised to use the hotel safes or other secure storage facilities. The hotel is also not responsible for any injury, accident, or illness occurring on the hotel premises or as a result of using the hotel facilities.
RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY
1. Reservation, Cancellation, and Refunds
1.1 Upon making a reservation, the client declares that they are aware of and agree to the Reservation, Cancellation, and No-Show Policies.
1.2 Once payment is confirmed, the reservation is confirmed. If it is necessary to cancel or change the date of the reservation, the client must notify the Reservations Center in writing (via email or WhatsApp).
1.3 Cancellations or date changes are subject to availability and fees as per the conditions below.
1.4 Reservations are only confirmed with a payment of a 50% deposit of the total accommodation value.
1.4.1 Payment must be made by bank transfer or PIX (Brazilian instant payment system).
1.4.2 The remaining balance must be paid at check-in with cash, credit card, debit card, or bank transfer/PIX.
1.4.3 Credit card payments are only accepted as a one-time payment or in two installments for values above R$ 1,000.
2. Cancellation Policy
2.1 In case of cancellation, the 50% deposit paid at the time of reservation will be retained as described below:
2.2 Cancellation will be without charge if made within 7 days, as per Article 49 of Law 8078/1990 of the Consumer Protection Code, where the guest exercises their right of withdrawal, and the Guesthouse will make a full refund of any amounts paid.
Art. 49 The Consumer may withdraw from the contract within 7 days from its signing or from the act of receiving the product or service, whenever the contract for the supply of products and services occurs outside the commercial establishment, especially by phone or at home.
Single Paragraph: If the consumer exercises the right of withdrawal provided for in this article, any amounts paid, for any reason, during the reflection period, will be refunded.
2.3 This period begins from the moment the guest makes their reservation.
2.4 In case of early departure from the contracted number of nights, there will be no refund of the amount paid in advance.
3. Cancellation Notice, Deadline, Refunds, and Proportions of Amounts to be Returned
3.1 Cancellation notice given more than 30 days before check-in: 90% of the amount paid is refunded, or 100% of the amount paid is left as credit to be used on another date within 12 months.
3.2 Cancellation notice given between 30 and 20 days before check-in: 70% of the amount paid is refunded, or 80% of the amount paid is left as credit to be used on another date within 12 months.
3.3 Cancellation notice given between 19 and 15 days before check-in: 50% of the amount paid is refunded, or 70% of the amount paid is left as credit to be used on another date within 12 months.
3.4 Cancellation notice given between 14 and 7 days before check-in: 30% of the amount paid is refunded, or 60% of the amount paid is left as credit to be used on another date within 12 months.
3.5 Cancellation notice given less than 7 days before check-in: no refund or credit.
3.6 Cancellation notice given less than 24 hours before check-in or a no-show** (failure to arrive on the check-in date): no refund or credit.
**A no-show is characterized as a withdrawal without cancellation, meaning failure to show up at the guesthouse on the reserved check-in date.
3.7 The room will be available to the guest until the deposited amount is used up in full nights (if there is a remaining balance, it will be retained by the guesthouse as compensation). After this period, the reservation will be canceled.
3.8 In case of partial withdrawal from the contracted days after check-in, no difference in value will be refunded.
3.8.1 In case of a refund, the amount will be refunded by bank transfer. We do not offer credits for canceled reservations.
3.8.2 Changes requested during the stay at the guesthouse that result in a reduction of the number of nights will not be refunded.
3.8.3 Changes caused by airlines will be treated strictly according to the cancellation policies. We will not make exceptions for cancellations or reservation changes caused by airlines.
3.9 Withdrawal without cancellation: "no-show" (failure to arrive)
3.9.1 Failure to arrive without prior written communication within the deadlines described in this document, on the scheduled arrival date, will be considered a "no-show" (withdrawal without cancellation).
3.9.2 The room will remain available for 12 hours from the check-in time (2:30 PM). After this period, the reservation will be canceled (with 100% of the amount paid being retained), and the room may be made available to another interested party.
THERE WILL BE NO REFUND OF AMOUNTS PAID FOR THE RESERVATION NOR CREDIT FOR ANOTHER DATE IN CASE OF:
4. Withdrawal after Entry
4.1 Withdrawal from the stay after check-in at the guesthouse, as well as early departure for any reason, will NOT give the right to any type of REFUND, REIMBURSEMENT, OR CREDIT for new nights, resulting in the total loss of the amount paid for the accommodation package or night.
Completing a reservation means total understanding of the content and acknowledgment of our reservation and cancellation policies.
5. Reservation Terms and Conditions
5.1 Check-in and check-out
5.2 Check-in time starts at 2:00 PM and check-out time is at noon.
5.3 Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon prior request, subject to availability and additional costs.
6. Room Occupancy, Use of Common Areas, and Operating Hours
6.1 The maximum number of guests per room is limited according to the type of accommodation reserved. Additional costs may apply for extra guests in the room.
6.2 Pets are allowed at the guesthouse but are the sole responsibility of the owner and must be kept on a leash in public areas. Additional fees may apply in case of damage and extra cleaning due to pets.
6.3 Smoking is permitted in outdoor areas but away from the main hall, restaurant, and pool area.
6.4 Outside food and beverages are only allowed inside the chalets; in public areas, only items purchased at the guesthouse are permitted.
6.5 The restaurant takes orders from customers until 10:00 PM.
6.6 The bar and pool area operate until midnight for guests.
6.7 The guesthouse's Wi-Fi is unlimited and free. However, please do not forget that we are in a very remote location in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest, and various factors influence the quality of the internet. We cannot guarantee that the Wi-Fi will always be working. Take the opportunity to reconnect with nature!
7. General Clauses
7.1 Lack of care and misuse that results in damage or loss of objects made available to the guest will result in the obligation to reimburse the guesthouse for the monetary value of the item at market price.
7.2 We are not responsible for any objects forgotten or lost in the guesthouse's common areas; they remain the responsibility of the guest. If the guesthouse staff finds an object, they will keep it at the reception.
7.3 Pousada Amazônia reserves the right to deny admission and/or stay in respect of the safety, comfort, and tranquility of our guests. This is especially valid in cases of conduct incompatible with good manners and common sense, such as excessive drunkenness, verbal or physical aggression, or any form of disrespect to other guests and guesthouse staff.
7.4 In accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Tourism, valid identification documents will be required at check-in for all guests listed in the process of each reservation. We also warn that no visitors will be allowed inside the rooms, only in the hotel's social areas.
7.5 By making a reservation, the guest agrees to the terms mentioned above.
